On February 26, in Hanoi, the Ministry of National Defense organized a conference to hand over technical work between Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh - Deputy Minister of National Defense and Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Hien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense.
At the conference, the central report and opinions of the delegates unanimously assessed: In recent years, under the leadership and direction of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, directly Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh, technical work has been comprehensively and synchronously deployed by agencies and units throughout the army, many contents have made outstanding developments, making important contributions to the cause of building the Army and protecting the Fatherland.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh affirmed the extremely important position and role of technical work for the cause of building a revolutionary, regular, elite, modern People's Army, meeting the requirements and tasks of protecting the Fatherland.
In the coming time, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh requested the technical sector to focus on comprehensively implementing the contents of work. In which, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh especially emphasized the work of building a team of technical sector officials to meet requirements and tasks; pay attention to building and perfecting mechanisms to attract and value talents;
Promote training and retraining to improve the capacity to master technology, weapons, and technical equipment for the professional team; promote investment in modern factory and workshop systems, meeting the requirements of preservation, maintenance, and repair of weapons and technical equipment at all levels; strengthen research and improvement, improve the combat-technical performance of weapons and equipment, in line with the trend of development of science and technology and military art of Vietnam.
Pay attention to doing a good job of technical management, especially for the Navy and Air Defense - Air Force Service. Actively research the theory of technical assurance for combat forms and promote the digital transformation of the technical sector.
Speaking to receive the handover of work, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Hien emphasized the extremely important contributions of Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh in leading and directing the technical work of the entire army, and at the same time expressed the determination to work with the entire technical sector to promote the achieved results, comprehensively deploy and successfully organize the implementation of technical work tasks, meeting the requirements of building the Army and protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.
