In the afternoon of September 13, Inspection and Supervision Delegation No. 225 of the Politburo and the Secretariat approved the draft report on the results of inspection and supervision (phase 3) for the Standing Committee of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee.
General Phan Van Giang - Member of the Politburo, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense, Head of the Inspection and Supervision Delegation chaired the Conference.
At the Conference, Inspection and Supervision Delegation No. 225 approved the draft report on the results of inspection and supervision for the Standing Committee of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee.
The inspection team focused on leadership and direction, concretizing the guidelines, resolutions, and regulations of the Central Government on personnel work, building a contingent of cadres to meet the requirements of operating the 2-level local government model.
At the same time, inspect the overcoming of limitations after the conclusions of the first and second inspection and supervision phases of the Politburo and the Secretariat in 2026.
The inspection and supervision delegation assessed that the Standing Committee of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee has seriously implemented the guidelines, resolutions, and conclusions of the Central Government, and the leadership and direction of socio-economic development has achieved many positive results.
In addition, the Delegation pointed out some limitations such as the structure and quality of the contingent of cadres are not uniform, the source of young cadres, cadres with outstanding capacity, specializing in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation are still limited.
Speaking at the Conference, General Phan Van Giang highly appreciated the spirit of responsibility, serious thorough grasp, proactive implementation and initial achievement of many important and quite comprehensive results in personnel work.
General Phan Van Giang requested Thai Nguyen province to continue to comprehensively review the contingent of cadres according to job positions, workload and practical requirements of each area. The transfer and rotation must originate from tasks, contingent structure and training and training goals, prioritizing strengthening capable cadres for the grassroots level.
At the same time, continue to improve the substantiveness in evaluating officials, taking the effectiveness of work and the satisfaction of people and organizations as one of the important bases for evaluation, resolutely overcoming manifestations of leniency, avoidance, and formalism.
General Phan Van Giang believes that the Standing Committee of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee will continue to promote the achieved results, effectively overcome the limitations and shortcomings pointed out, build a contingent of cadres with sufficient qualities, capacity, prestige, close to the people, understanding the people, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
