On the afternoon of August 26, at the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee headquarters, General Phan Van Giang, Member of the Politburo, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense, attended and awarded the 80-year Party Badge, phase 2, September 2026 to party members in the province.
Attending the ceremony were leaders of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, leaders of Cao Bang province, representatives of agencies, units and families of party members awarded badges.
At the ceremony, the Organization Committee of Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee announced the decision of the Secretariat on awarding the Party Badge for the 2nd phase of September 2026 to party member Nguyen Khanh Trung, born April 24, 1930. Currently, Mr. Trung is active at the Party Cell of Hoang Tung residential group, Thuc Phan Ward Party Committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Phan Van Giang congratulated Mr. Nguyen Khanh Trung on being honored to receive the noble award of the Party, and affirmed that this is recognition of the Party member's journey of striving, training and dedication.
Having worked in many units, Mr. Nguyen Khanh Trung always maintained his political bravery, was dedicated to his work, was close to the masses and completed his assigned tasks well.
After retiring from work, he continued to promote his exemplary role in the locality, being a spiritual support for his family and residential area.
General Phan Van Giang emphasized: "The higher the Party age, the greater the responsibility; retire from work but not retire to contribute", and at the same time wished veteran Party members to continue to promote prestige, intelligence, and experience, participate in contributing opinions to build the Party, government and educate traditions for the young generation.
On this occasion, Cao Bang province awarded the Independence Medal and Labor Medal of various ranks to 10 former provincial leaders, recognizing their contributions to Party building, socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and caring for people's lives.
