At the 18th Provincial Party Executive Committee Conference, term XII, term 2020 - 2025, Mr. Ho Van Muoi - Chairman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee took responsibility when some socio-economic targets were not achieved.
He affirmed that he will consider and frankly evaluate the roles and responsibilities of department, branch and local officials.
Regarding the issue of disbursement of public investment capital, in addition to the problem of bauxite mineral planning, according to the Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee, the key issue is forecasting.
Although in the 2019 - 2020 period, Dak Nong province hired a consulting unit, the forecasting work was not accurate, and many problems related to procedures and paperwork have arisen.
Typical examples include the Dao Nghia - Quang Khe Road Project and the Dak Nong Provincial General Hospital Project.
According to Mr. Ho Van Muoi, some socio-economic development targets were not achieved, related to the level and management capacity of leaders at all levels.
Through working with a number of localities, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee realized that many officials did not grasp the content, were not mentally stable or lacked responsibility, leaving all work to their deputies.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that there are still officials who are fearful and do not cooperate in work, and there are even cases of shifting responsibility to the Provincial People's Committee.
Currently, Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee has reviewed and evaluated weak and incompetent officials and reported to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.
“We have to compare chopsticks to choose a flagpole, there is no other way. I propose to include the content of cadre work in the Resolution of the next term, so that the training and development of cadres must be drastic and effective,” emphasized the Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee.
