On November 13, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary To Lam chaired a working session with the Socio-Economic Subcommittee to present to the 14th National Party Congress. Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh - Head of the Socio-Economic Subcommittee of the 14th National Party Congress - chaired the discussion.
The meeting aimed to listen to opinions and finalize the draft socio-economic report, one of the documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress, which will be reviewed by the Politburo at the end of this month. This is one of the important reports that needs to be completed and soon issued to serve the upcoming grassroots Party Congress.
General Secretary To Lam highly appreciated the Socio-Economic Subcommittee for actively developing the report, completing it after 12 revisions, and now having many new contents compared to the original, basically qualified to submit to the Politburo for comments, and at the same time requested that the report continue to clarify the deep understanding of the vision of the new era from the 14th Congress, associated with the determination to implement the two 100-year goals of 2030 and 2045. These are very large goals, requiring determination to achieve them at a speed many times faster than the current one, along with breakthrough solutions, shortcuts, and anticipatory measures.
General Secretary To Lam requested that the report must demonstrate the solidarity of the entire political system, all for the common goal, and arouse the spirit of nation building among Party members and the people. Assessing the growth scenario was a positive discussion, the General Secretary noted that rapid but sustainable development must be associated with cultural development, environmental protection, and ensuring national defense and security.
General Secretary To Lam emphasized the need to carry out tasks in the spirit of innovation, including stronger institutional breakthroughs, resolutely combating the fear of making mistakes, pushing and avoiding, promoting all resources, taking advantage of every opportunity for development, and enhancing digital transformation.
Previously, at the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee, the Central Committee discussed and unanimously decided to establish 5 sub-committees to prepare for the 14th Party Congress. Of which, the Socio-Economic Sub-Committee is headed by Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
