The Communist Party of Vietnam values cooperation with the Italian Communist Re-establishment Party

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man meets with General Secretary of the Italian Communist Reconstruction Party, requesting to strengthen cooperation with the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Within the framework of the official visit to the Republic of Italy, on the morning of April 14 local time, in Rome, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man had a meeting with General Secretary of the Italian Communist Reconstruction Party Maurizio Acerbo.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that Italy is Vietnam's top important partner in the European Union (EU) and wishes to further strengthen the Vietnam-Italy Strategic Partnership on all channels, including the Party's foreign affairs channel.

Recalling the feelings and valuable support of the Italian people in the struggle for national independence and national reunification in the past and the construction and development of the country today, the National Assembly Chairwoman affirmed that the two countries have many similarities, especially in cultural traditions and always have good feelings for each other.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that the Communist Party of Vietnam values cooperation with the Italian Communist Re-establishment Party.

In the context of the complicated world situation, the Communist Party of Vietnam further wishes to strengthen relations between the two parties to contribute to bringing the friendly and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Italy to continue to develop well, for the benefit of the people of the two countries, for peace and stability in the world.

Regarding the direction of cooperation, the National Assembly Chairwoman proposed that the two Parties strengthen understanding and sharing, bring relations to become deeper and more substantive; promote the role of the two Parties in strengthening friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries; promote people-to-people exchanges, cooperation in the fields of culture, art, education and training, tourism, and cooperation between localities of the two countries.

On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man informed about the ongoing project to build the Vietnam Communist Party Museum to preserve, display and promote the value of valuable historical documents and artifacts of the Party; requested the Italian Communist Reconstruction Party to support this project of Vietnam through sharing documents, artifacts, management experience, and preservation techniques.

Emphasizing the special affection for Vietnam, General Secretary Maurizio Acerbo expressed admiration when the image of Vietnam has become a symbol of the national liberation movement and a source of inspiration for the working class around the world; recalling the historical link between the two countries, President Ho Chi Minh, who once stayed in Italy during the process of finding a way to save the country.

Highly appreciating the significance of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, General Secretary Maurizio Acerbo expressed his impression of the goals, orientations, and major tasks that the Congress set out for Vietnam's development, and highly appreciated Vietnam's peaceful, independent, and self-reliant foreign policy.

Sharing information about the situation of the Italian Communist Re-establishment Party recently, Party leaders affirmed that they attach importance to developing good solidarity relations with the Communist Party of Vietnam and expressed their desire to continue to contribute to promoting the Vietnam-Italy Strategic Partnership as well as strengthening the friendly feelings between the people of the two countries.
