Toxic tricks
Vietnam is a multi-ethnic, multi-religious country with 54 ethnic groups living together in harmony, many religions are closely attached to the nation. The Constitution of our country affirms: "Everyone has the right to freedom of belief and religion, to follow or not follow any religion". Thanks to the guidelines of equality, solidarity, respect and mutual development, many socio-economic programs, poverty reduction, infrastructure investment, education, and health for ethnic minorities have achieved important results, strengthening people's trust.
However, reactionary forces still distort and slander Vietnam for religious domination and Ethnic minority discrimination, taking advantage of complaints and land disputes to gather the State as violating human rights, while thoroughly exploiting social networks, spreading the news of the government controlling religious activities and banishing religious festivals to sow confusion and dissatisfaction among a group of believers.
In the field of ethnic groups, reform reform organizations in exiled countries continue to create what is called " self-reliant statehouses" and "independent countries" for some ethnic groups, through the dissemination of documents and the establishment of groups on social networks.
In Dien Bien, the Ba Co Do festival has lured hundreds of participants with the superstitious luan no need to do but still eat, while promoting the idea of separation and plotting to illegally build the Mong Dynasty. This is clear evidence that hostile forces never give up the intention of taking advantage of religion and nation to divide the great national unity bloc.
Behind the humane tricks of "respecting religious human rights" and "protecting ethnic minorities" are actually a sinister plot to divide the people with the Party and the State, break the great national unity bloc and create an excuse for external intervention. This is a typical manifestation of the " peaceful development" strategy in the field of ideology and society.
Spreading official information, promptly disabling fake news
In 2025, the " peaceful development" approach in the matter of religion and ethnicity shows some new characteristics. Hostile forces are stepping up the " Internationlization" of the problem by facial human rights reports, building the image of "victims" to slander Vietnam, causing political pressure from the outside and spreading skepticism in public opinion. They thoroughly take advantage of cyberspace to amplify individual phenomena, turning individual cases into proofs for so-called violations of religious freedom or national discrimination.
At the same time, they have built new reactionary organizations under the guise of "eagle" and "cultural group", bringing apartheidic ideas to a group of ethnic minorities, sowing the seeds of simmering instability. If not promptly identified and prevented, these tricks can deepen social conflicts, creating "hot spots", directly threatening the political - social stability and sustainability of the regime.
To neutralize this plot, the Party and State need to synchronously implement many solutions:
First, continue to improve religious and ethnic policies, ensure freedom of belief and equality among ethnic groups to come into play. Sustainable poverty reduction programs, infrastructure construction, health care, and education in ethnic minority areas must be implemented synchronously, associated with cultural development and improving the spiritual life of ethnic minorities.
Second, promote the strength of the political system, especially the exemplary role of religious dignitaries, village chief, village chief, and prestigious people in the community. This is an important "backbone" to strengthen the belief of believers and people in the Party's guidelines.
Third, strengthen management and orientation of cyberspace, proactively fight against and refute false and distorted information. It is necessary to form proactive media forces, using digital technology to spread legitimate information, promptly disabling fake news.
Fourth, promote the strength of international solidarity, especially in cooperation against terrorism, religious extremistry, human trafficking, and illegal migration. This is both a domestic demand and contributes to enhancing Vietnam's position in the international arena.
Great national unity is a thousand-year-old traditional value, and at the same time, a decisive factor in the success of the Vietnamese revolution. In the context of hostile forces increasingly taking advantage of religious and ethnic issues, the task of consolidating the great national unity bloc becomes more urgent and long-term. To maintain that unity, we must take care of policies, ensure the legitimate rights of the people, improve the material and spiritual life of ethnic and religious people; resolutely fight, exposing the reactionary nature of the arguments that take advantage of ethnic and religious issues to sabotage.
