The Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee has just reviewed and disciplined many party members for allowing wrongful convictions to occur.
Including the wrongful conviction of Mr. Do Van Hung in a criminal case that occurred in Dak Ha commune, Dak G'long district.
In this case, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission found that many Party members had committed violations and shortcomings in performing their assigned duties and responsibilities, and did not comply with regulations during the process of indicting, prosecuting and trying Mr. Do Van Hung, leading to wrongful convictions.
There are 5 party members who violated the law, including: Mr. Tran Thanh Tuan - Head of Krong No District Police, former Deputy Head of the Department of Investigation of Social Order Crimes of the Provincial Police, Deputy Head of the Investigation Police Agency;
Mr. Luu Van Khang - Chairman of the Party Committee Inspection Committee, Deputy Head of the Department of Investigation Police on Social Order, Deputy Head of the Investigation Police Agency of the Provincial Police, former Investigator, Investigation Police Agency of the Provincial Police;
Mr. Phan Thanh Hai - Member of the Party Executive Committee, Party Committee Member, Deputy Director of Institute of Provincial People's Procuracy;
Mr. Nguyen Viet Cuong - Director of Institute of Gia Nghia City People's Procuracy, former Head of Division I, Intermediate Prosecutor of the Provincial People's Procuracy;
Mr. Luong Duc Duong - Party member, Chief of Administrative Court; former Deputy Chief of Criminal Court, Provincial People's Court.
Considering the content, nature, level, consequences, and causes of the violation; based on Party regulations, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission decided to impose disciplinary action in the form of a Warning on Mr. Nguyen Viet Cuong and Mr. Luong Duc Duong;
Requesting profound lessons for Mr. Tran Thanh Tuan and Luu Van Khang;
Propose that the Standing Committee of Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee consider and discipline Mr. Phan Thanh Hai.
