On the morning of December 31, the National Assembly Delegation (NA Delegation) of An Giang province summarized the work of the XV term (2021 - 2026) and celebrated the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026).
Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province, said that the National Assembly Delegation of An Giang province has 16 delegates, including 7 central delegates and 9 local delegates. In the 2021-2026 term, the National Assembly Delegation of the province completed its role as a solid "bridge", bringing the voice of the people to the parliament and legal policies into practical life.
The delegation organized 122 conferences, collecting opinions and contributions for 64 important draft laws. At the sessions, delegates participated in voting to pass 148 draft laws and 181 legal normative resolutions, creating a comprehensive legal framework for socio-economic development and international integration of the country.
The supervision activities of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation have made strong progress in both breadth and depth, focusing on pressing issues of concern to voters. In 45 National Assembly sessions, the Delegation conducted 38 direct questioning sessions, 15 written questioning sessions and 3 debate sessions with the Prime Minister and Government members. The questioning contents revolved around fields such as: Labor, land, agriculture, justice, security and order, and climate change...
During the term, the Delegation organized 442 voter contacts with the participation of more than 34,470 voters, with more than 900 opinions and recommendations being recorded. Among these, over 70% of opinions have been resolved and answered in writing by competent authorities...
It has mobilized organizations, businesses and philanthropists to contribute a total value of nearly 120 billion VND to build traffic bridges, houses, schools and give gifts to difficult households.
Speaking at the conference, An Giang Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Tien Hai emphasized: Along with the entire political system, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation will continue to contribute to bringing An Giang to rapid and sustainable development, becoming a dynamic bright spot of the Mekong Delta region.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Tien Hai believes that: The Provincial National Assembly Delegation will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, bravery, intelligence, constantly innovate operating methods, improve the quality of representation, worthy of being a solid bridge between voters and the National Assembly, between the Central Government and localities.
On this occasion, the National Assembly Standing Committee awarded the Medal "For the Cause of the National Assembly of Vietnam" to 9 individuals. The Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 6 individuals with outstanding achievements in mobilizing material and financial contributions to effectively implement social security work; awarded certificates of merit to 9 collectives and 29 individuals with outstanding achievements in performing the task of National Assembly deputies.
