An Giang has 192/194 petitions of voters resolved or responded to

NGUYÊN ANH |

An Giang - The total number of petitions resolved or responded to by voters is 192/194, a rate of 98.97%; of which 91 petitions have been resolved or responded to, a rate of 47.40%.

On July 29, the People's Council of An Giang province held its second session (regular session in mid-2025).

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council informed about the results of monitoring the Provincial People's Committee to resolve voters' opinions and recommendations before and after the Regular Session at the end of 2024.

The total number of petitions of voters before and after the regular session at the end of 2024 is 194 petitions in the fields of economy, culture - society, state management, security and order.

Accordingly, Kien Giang (old) had 68 recommendations, of which there were 51 recommendations before the session and 17 recommendations after the session. An Giang (old) has 126 recommendations, of which there were 71 before the session and 55 after the session.

The total number of petitions resolved or responded to was 192/194 petitions, a rate of 98.97%, of which 91 petitions were resolved or responded to, a rate of 47. 40%; 64 petitions are being resolved, a rate of 33.33%.

Kien Giang province (before the merger), the total number of petitions of voters considered, resolved or responded to by the People's Committee of Kien Giang province had 68/68 contents, reaching a rate of 100%. Of which, 34 contents have been resolved or answered, a rate of 50%.

In An Giang province (before the merger), the total number of petitions of voters considered, resolved or responded to by the Provincial People's Committee was 124/126 petitions. Of which, 57 recommendations have been resolved or responded to, a rate of 45.6%.

With the results achieved through supervision, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council found that although all levels and sectors are making efforts to implement the policy of arranging administrative units, provincial and commune levels, and implementing two-level local governance, the Provincial People's Committee is very interested, proactive and has strong direction in resolving voters' petitions. Most of the contents of voters' recommendations have been considered and resolved or responded to meet the legitimate and legal requirements of voters, with clear classification appendices and specific answers.

However, the work of resolving voters' petitions still has certain limitations. The proportion of voters' petitions being resolved is still high (64/192, accounting for 33.33% of the total number of petitions considered and resolved).

There are many contents answering the recommendations in the appendix that have been completed or are being resolved, but in reality, they are only recorded in general.

Some answered contents are unclear, lack of implementation measures or there is no expected time for specific resolution; there are recommendations that have not been answered or considered for resolution. Among the voters' recommendations, there are many recommendations related to the health sector (linear procedures, referrals for medical examination and treatment...), which shows that in reality, voters have not been provided with information to clearly understand these regulations.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council recommends that the Provincial People's Committee direct departments and branches to proactively review and have a plan to coordinate well with relevant agencies and localities when responding to voters' recommendations to update current regulations and be close to the actual situation. Especially after implementing the arrangement of organization, apparatus, arrangement of administrative units at the provincial and commune levels and ending the operation of local and district-level governments.

In the health sector, it is recommended to have measures to widely disseminate to the people about the contents related to administrative procedures on registration for medical examination, treatment, referral, referral, referral... Direct the Department of Health to take measures to ensure security and order at the gate of An Giang Central General Hospital (Long Xuyen).

In the field of internal affairs, for recommendations related to part-time workers at the commune level, in hamlets and neighborhoods, it is necessary to study and respond in accordance with current regulations.

For recommendations under the authority of the district level that were previously resolved, it is necessary to review and consider assigning tasks to suit the current two-level local government.
