On December 29th, the People's Council (PC) of An Giang province held its 7th session (Ordinary session at the end of 2025).
At the session, information was provided on the settlement of voters' petitions. The total number of voters' petitions before and after the regular session in mid-2025 was 207 petitions. In which: 56 petitions were made before the session, and 151 petitions were made after the session.
Total number of petitions resolved or answered: 207/207 petitions, rate of 100%. In which: 88 petitions have been resolved or answered, rate of 42.51%; 82 petitions are being resolved, rate of 39.61%; Petitions under the authority of the Central Government 5 petitions; Petitions under the authority of commune level 32 petitions.
Through verification, the Legal Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council found that although this year, the Provincial People's Committee and levels and sectors must focus on many tasks for arranging the organizational structure, merging the province, implementing two-level local government... but still pay great attention to drastic direction in resolving voters' petitions.
Through the issuance of Official Dispatches for receiving and explaining voters' petitions and assigning tasks to provincial departments, branches, agencies, and units with the function of resolving and explaining and advising the Provincial People's Committee to resolve or respond to all voters' petitions. Thereby meeting the legitimate and legal requirements of voters, with clear classification appendices and specific answers.
Besides the achieved results, the work of resolving voters' petitions still has some shortcomings and limitations. The review and reporting of the results of resolving voters' petitions to send to delegates of the Provincial People's Council to meet voters is still slow. The rate of voters' petitions being resolved is still high (82/207 accounts for 39.61% of the total number of petitions considered for resolution).
There are still some recommendations that have lasted through many sessions and have not been completely resolved, such as: the situation of drug shortage, planting forest boundary markers for competent authorities to issue land use right certificates to voters, procedures for transferring facilities for medical examination and treatment...
The petition has been completed or is being resolved, and some contents are still being recorded in general, with no specific time for resolution expected.
The Legal Committee also proposed that the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council request the Provincial People's Committee to direct departments and branches to proactively review and have a plan to coordinate well with relevant agencies and localities when responding to voters' petitions in a timely manner.
Have measures to widely propagate among the people about contents related to 3 administrative procedures on registration for medical examination and treatment, transfer of tuyen, tuyen thong. Decisively resolve petitions that have lasted through many sessions such as drug shortages, planting forest boundary markers for localities to issue land use right certificates to people.
Continue to have solutions to resolve the contents of voters' petitions that are being resolved, including reviewing which contents have not been answered specifically, there is no time, and the implementation progress needs to be clearly anticipated for the implementation time for each petition.
Regarding the content of voters' petitions under the authority of the Central Ministries and branches, directing the review and petitioning of central agencies to resolve or respond, and then inform delegates and voters.
For proposals under the settlement authority of communes (in the new merger phase), it is necessary to review and consider assigning tasks to suit local authorities at two levels and have guidance, direction, and urging to resolve contents under commune authority to inform voters.
