On March 6, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Justice coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to organize a national scientific conference "Innovation in thinking, building and enforcing laws to meet the needs of national development in the new era".
The workshop was chaired by Mr. Phan Dinh Trac - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Justice.
According to the Ministry of Justice, the organization of the Workshop aims to fully identify the context, requirements, urgency and solutions for strong innovation in law-making, promote the high level of party spirit in law-making and enforcement, improve the effectiveness of law enforcement in the direction of "not only ensuring the requirements of state management, but also encouraging creativity, liberating all productive forces, unlocking all resources for development", "taking people as the center, goal, subject and driving force for national development" in the new era.
The workshop received great attention and response from central and local departments, ministries, branches, the community of experts, researchers, lawyers, entrepreneurs, and agencies representing the business community, with a total of more than 80 topics and presentations sent to the workshop.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang emphasized: "The entire political system is resolutely carrying out the revolution of streamlining the apparatus, ensuring streamlining - compactness - efficiency - effectiveness - efficiency; identifying institutional breakthroughs as "breakthrough of breakthroughs", must be early, go ahead, pave the way for development, freeing up all resources, especially resources among the people; promoting decentralization and delegation of power in the spirit of "Local determination, locality does, locality takes responsibility, Central, Government, National Assembly plays a role in creating" and "strengthening supervision, inspection, urging, removing difficulties and obstacles".
To implement these breakthrough policies and decisions, we must start from innovating thinking about law making and enforcement".
The Ministry of Justice said that the results of the Workshop have contributed significantly to the research and consultation of central and local departments, ministries, branches, relevant agencies, experts, scientists, managers and practical activities, and are also important documents to serve the process of developing the Directive/Resolution of the Politburo on "Innovation in law-making and enforcement to meet the requirements of national development in the new era".
