At exactly 9:00 a.m. on August 19, groundbreaking ceremony and inauguration of projects and works took place across the country to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The central point takes place at the National Exhibition Center, Dong Anh commune, Hanoi City.
The program connects 80 bridges across the country, witnessing key projects coming into operation, starting construction, bringing great benefits to the people and the country.
The event demonstrates maturity, growth, rising, self-reliance, self-reliance, proactive development of socio-economic infrastructure, vividly and truly reflecting the efforts of the entire political system, related entities and the solidarity and unanimousness of the people in competing to participate in implementing projects and works across the country; demonstrating the joy and happiness of the people, those who directly enjoy the results.
Thereby, deepening national pride and love for the country, adding determination in the work of building and defending the Fatherland, creating momentum and strength to enter a new era.
Minister and Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son said that out of 250 projects and works in 34 provinces/cities eligible for groundbreaking and inauguration, 89 projects and works were inaugurated; 161 projects and works were started.
Accordingly, there are 59 traffic projects; urban civil works have 44 construction projects; industrial works have 57 construction projects; technical infrastructure has 36 construction projects; social housing has 22 construction projects; the agricultural and rural development sector has 6 construction projects; the cultural and sports sector has 3 construction projects; the education sector has 12 projects; the national defense sector has 1 project; the health sector has 10 projects.
Among the projects and state capital, there are 129 projects with VND 478,000 billion, accounting for 37% of the total and 121 projects and works invested from other sources of capital with VND 802,000 billion, accounting for 63% of the total. FDI capital has 5 projects with a total investment capital of about VND54,000 billion.
The inauguration and operation of works and projects and the simultaneous implementation of large-scale construction works contribute to creating momentum and creating conditions for socio-economic development of the country, enhancing regional and regional connectivity; contributing to growth of 8% or more in 2025 and double-digit growth in the following years; creating jobs, livelihoods for people and improving people's lives.

According to the investment plan, it will not be completed until 2027, but participating in the fierce competition of the Government, all levels and sectors, the project will start construction from August 30, 2024 and will be inaugurated on August 19, shortening many times. This is a very complex designed project with beautiful architecture, with a super-old and super-heavy steel structure.
Starting construction of Viettel's Research and Development Center:
This is a typical project for research on high-tech equipment, especially semiconductors, AI, Data. The total investment is about 10,000 billion VND.
Inauguration of the Nghe An Oncology Hospital Construction Project of Nghe An province:
The project has a total investment of 1,259 billion VND, with a scale of 1,000 beds. The project is classified as a group A project, a level 1 project, one of the key medical projects in the North Central region.
Inauguration of the Hai Anh Wind Power Plant project:
The project is worth VND 1,565 billion, and was granted an investment policy by the People's Committee of Quang Tri province in March 2021, starting construction in December 2023.
Starting construction of a commercial service area combined with an entertainment park project in Da Nang:
The project is invested by Asia Park Company Limited, located on Phan Dang Luu Street, Hoa Cuong Ward, Da Nang City, with a scale of 76.9 hectares and a total investment of VND 79,790 billion.
Inauguration of the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge project:
Rach Mieu 2 Bridge, connecting the two provinces of Dong Thap and Vinh Long, was inaugurated on August 19 after more than 3 years of construction, 5 months ahead of schedule compared to the original plan. The project has a total investment of nearly VND6,810 billion, expected to both solve the urgent problem of congestion and be a lever to promote economic growth, tourism and improve the quality of life for people in the area.
