On the afternoon of August 6, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting of the Government Standing Committee on a number of important contents, including the design and operation plan for the Exhibition "80 years of independence - freedom - Happiness journey".
Concluding on this content, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged and highly appreciated the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and related groups and individuals for their active and efforts, basically completing the plans.
Suggesting and giving opinions on some specific contents in organizing the exhibition, the Prime Minister requested more determination, effort, positivity, and speed in implementing work, continuing to research and perfect plans to successfully organize the exhibition.
The head of the Government emphasized that the exhibition needs to be organized truly as a "river festival", highlighted, ensuring easy identification of key messages, historical milestones, symbolic works, national scale, affirming national identity; having great influence, creating momentum, motivation, and inspiration for the whole nation, people, and international friends.
The Prime Minister suggested paying attention to the use of foreign languages to introduce to international friends; facilitate businesses and entities to participate in promoting their potential and strengths and conducting cooperation and business agreements.
According to the Prime Minister, with the general guiding ideology of "80 years of independence - freedom - Happiness", it is necessary to encourage and promote creativity, uniqueness, and competitive spirit among ministries, branches, localities, agencies, and units participating in the exhibition.
The Prime Minister also noted to ensure security, order, health, reception, logistics, plans to organize information - guidance booths, organize traffic, divert visitors, prevent fire and explosion, rescue, food and beverage services, ensure environmental hygiene, landscape, trees, technical support, machinery and equipment, ensure electricity and water of the exhibition.
Also at the meeting, the Government Standing Committee discussed and gave opinions on the content of strengthening leadership and improving the effectiveness of signing and implementing international agreements and commitments.
Regarding this content, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant agencies to absorb opinions, continue to research, supplement, and complete documents to submit to competent authorities, in which some contents on the basis, goals, tasks, and solutions are clarified in the spirit of " what is said is done, what is committed to be done" and ensuring national and ethnic interests.
