On the afternoon of August 14, the Government Office held a press conference to inform about the groundbreaking ceremony and inauguration of the project to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2.
At the press conference, Deputy Minister of Construction Le Anh Tuan said that this is an important political event, contributing achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
This demonstrates maturity, growth, growth, self-reliance, self-strengthening, proactive development of socio-economic infrastructure including traffic works, urban areas, industrial parks, services, education and training, healthcare, science and technology, innovation, etc.
The event also vividly and truly reflects the efforts of the entire political system, related entities and the solidarity and unity of the people in competing to participate in implementing projects and works across the country.
Implementing the direction of the Prime Minister in Official Dispatch No. 57/CD-TTg and Official Dispatch No. 129/CD-TTg on preparing for the groundbreaking ceremony and inauguration of works, by August 13, the Ministry of Construction had received reports from 34 provinces and cities, 17 ministries, branches and 18 corporations and general companies.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Construction has reviewed and compiled 250 projects and works of ministries, branches, localities, corporations and general companies in 34 provinces/cities that are eligible for inauguration and commencement of construction, of which 89 projects and works are eligible for inauguration; 161 projects and works are eligible for commencement of construction.
Projects in the following areas:
Traffic infrastructure: 59 projects, works; Civil - urban works: 44 projects, works; Industrial works: 57 projects, works; Technical infrastructure: 36 projects, works; Social housing: 22 projects, works; Agriculture and rural development: 6 projects, works; Culture, Sports: 3 projects, works; Education: 12 projects, works; National Defense: 1; Health: 10 projects, works.
Of the 250 projects and works, there are: 8 important national projects, 46 group A projects; 155 group B projects and 41 group C projects.
With a total investment of: VND 1,280,000 billion; Of which, State capital with 129 projects: VND 478,000 billion, accounting for 37% of the total and 121 other capital projects: VND 802,000 billion, accounting for 63% of the total.
Of the above projects, there are 5 FDI projects with a capital of VND54,000 billion, including:
1. The factory that produces speakers, headphones and smart electronic devices of Tonly Electronics Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd. in Dong Nai Industrial Park, Quang Ninh province.
2. Smart City project of Hanoi Smart City Development Investment Joint Stock Company in Hanoi City.
3. Pepsico's food factory in Ninh Binh province.
4. WHA Smart Technology's investment project in construction and business of industrial park infrastructure in Thanh Hoa province.
5. radial automobile tire factory of Cofo Vietnam Tire Company Limited in Thanh Hoa province.
Of the total 250 projects and works eligible for inauguration and groundbreaking, 80 online and live television stations will be selected, the remaining projects will be held simultaneously.
Regarding the organization time, it will take place for 1/2 day, expected on the morning of August 19, 2025 (starting from 9:00 a.m.).
