On August 15, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc and the working delegation worked with the province on socio-economic issues in 2025, removing difficulties and obstacles in the area.
After the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units, Dong Nai has an area of over 12,700 km2, accounting for 3.84% of the country's area (ranked 9th in the country). With a population of over 4.49 million people (ranked 5th in the country). Dong Nai is a multi-ethnic, multi-religious province. The province has an economic scale of more than 609 trillion VND (ranked 4th in the country).
At the meeting, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province proposed that the Government consider and submit to the National Assembly to allow the development of a Resolution on a number of specific mechanisms similar to the localities: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Da Nang, Hai Phong... Support investment capital for the Cat Lai ferry replacement bridge project (about VND 9,365 billion); support investment capital for the road project from Ma Da bridge to Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4; support funding for comprehensive repair of national highways through the province according to the management decentralization.
Concluding the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc highly appreciated the results that Dong Nai province has achieved in socio-economics, especially site clearance and development of key infrastructure.
Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc suggested that Dong Nai province promote the spirit of solidarity, maximize potential and advantages, focus on removing difficulties and obstacles for businesses and economic sectors; continue to promote the development of strategic transport infrastructure, promoting socio-economic development.
