Dong Thap is one of 10 provinces and cities with excellent economic management quality and is among the provinces and cities with the highest PCI in 2024. The information was just announced by the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) on the morning of June 6 in Hanoi.
In which, the PCI 2024 score of Dong Thap reached 70.35 points, an increase of 0.69 points compared to 2023. Of the 10 component indicators, Dong Thap province has 4 gaining index compared to 2023. The highlight is the component indicators highly appreciated by the business community such as: Business support policy reached 7.41 points (up 1.2 points), market entry reached 8.43 points (up 0.33 points) Transparency reached 7.39 points (an increase of 0.11 points).
It is known that Dong Thap has participated 19 times and has been in the leading group in the country for 17 consecutive years (2008 - 2024).
Also according to information from the announcement ceremony, Dong Thap province has a superiority in the Provincial Green Index (PGI), from 18th place in 2023 to 7th place nationwide in 2024, with the following ingredients: Reducing pollution and natural disasters (7.65 points); Ensuring compliance (7.45 points); Promoting green practices (6.28 points); Encouragement and support services (6.03 points).
