On the afternoon of April 18, the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee officially issued a Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee on the Project to merge Bac Lieu Newspaper and Bac Lieu Radio and Television Station; Project to reorganize commune-level administrative units of Bac Lieu province...
After the Resolution was issued, communes, wards and towns collected voters' opinions on the Project to reorganize commune-level units in Bac Lieu province.

The Provincial People's Committee said that after organizing the collection of voters' opinions, Bac Lieu will submit to competent authorities to ensure progress, efficiency, and compliance with the provisions of the Law on Organization of Local Government, the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee, and the Government.
The People's Committees of wards, towns and communes have established a Team to collect voters' opinions according to the hamlet and residential area; each team member has 5-7 people. At the same time, a list of voters representing households with permanent residence registration in the area was prepared and posted at the headquarters of the People's Committees of wards, towns, communes and hamlets and hamlets for people to easily access.
Regarding the arrangement of provincial and commune-level administrative units, and the removal of district-level ones, on April 17, 2025, the Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Bac Lieu signed Official Letter 534, revoking and canceling Official Letter 524 issued by this agency 1 day in advance.
Official dispatch 524 sent to agencies and units on registration of the list of civil servants and public employees who wish to work in communes and wards. The list will be sent to the province before April 30, 2025.
The reason for the revocation is that it is not appropriate to issue documents to civil servants and public employees who register their wishes to work in communes and wards at present.
The list of 25 communes and wards expected after the merger in Bac Lieu all have names, no longer having commune and ward names by numbers.
