On the afternoon of April 17, the Standing Committee of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee deployed the work of developing a project to merge provincial-level administrative units (ADUs) and evaluated the cooperation results between Ca Mau and Bac Lieu provinces.
Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai said that in the spirit of being very urgent in implementing the Central's instructions, Ca Mau province has drafted a Project to merge provincial-level administrative units between Ca Mau province and Bac Lieu province for the Standing Committees of the Provincial Party Committees of the two provinces to contribute comments on completion. Ca Mau has also prepared a list of key officials of the province for Bac Lieu province leaders to grasp and monitor.

Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee Secretary Lu Van Hung is highly unified with the opinion of the Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, agreeing to the content for the two parties to take the next steps. The Secretary of Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee proposed the decision to set up subcommittee to prepare the Congress of Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee for the term 2025 - 2030 (except for the Human Resources Subcommittee); Continuing to thoroughly grasp cadres and party members to uphold the spirit of overcoming difficulties in the first step in the province to well implement the Central's policy.

At the Conference, leaders of the two provinces also reported the initial results of the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in the locality.
According to the project, it is expected that the new province of Ca Mau will have 64 commune-level administrative units, including 9 wards and 55 communes.
Bac Lieu province is expected to collect voters' opinions on the arrangement of administrative units on April 18 and 19.4, and on April 28, the Provincial People's Council will meet to consider and issue a Resolution approving the plan to arrange 2-level administrative units.
The conference also approved the draft project of consolidating the provincial administrative unit, reporting the draft plan to implement the project. The draft project of the provincial -level Corps Consolidation between Ca Mau and Bac Lieu province closely followed the instructions of the Central Government and in accordance with the local reality, determined that there were 3 key task groups, including the construction of documents of Ca Mau Party Committee Congress for the term 2025 - 2030.

At the meeting, the two provinces agreed to set up a Steering Committee for the Corps of the provincial DVHC between Ca Mau and Bac Lieu province, led by Mr. Lu Van Hung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai, Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee was the Standing Deputy Head and the Working Group to perform this task.
The two sides also agreed to establish a subcommittee on documents of the Ca Mau Provincial Congress (new) for the 2025 - 2030 term, headed by Comrade Lu Van Hung, Secretary of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee; Comrade Nguyen Ho Hai - Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the subcommittee.
For the Committee for editing documents of the Ca Mau Provincial Congress of Delegations (new) for the 2025 - 2030 term, led by Comrade Huynh Quoc Viet - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee.
Immediately after the conference, the leaders of the two provinces signed the promulgation of joint resolutions to unify the contents of the project of consolidating the Consolidation Consolidation, the decisions to set up the Steering Committee, the task force to implement the Joint Resolution and the compilation team of the new Ca Mau Provincial Party Congress. These agencies will be put into operation from April 18, 2025, the two sides will develop a plan to implement the Joint Resolution to ensure the central progress given.
At the conference, the leaders of Bac Lieu province proposed to have a support plan for accommodation, means of transportation, and funding for cadres and party members from Bac Lieu to Ca Mau to work with peace of mind. Regarding this issue, Ca Mau province has reviewed the number of vacant public housing units for arrangement.
