The Office of the Government has just issued Notice No. 484/TB-VPCP on the conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha at the meeting on the investment in the new Phong Chau bridge on National Highway 32C, Phu Tho province.
The conclusion announcement stated that the collapse of Phong Chau bridge on National Highway 32C, Phu Tho province caused great damage to people and property, disrupted traffic on National Highway 32C, and affected the economic development and people's lives in Phu Tho province and localities in the region.
It is urgent and necessary to promptly overcome the consequences and speed up the progress of investment and construction of the new Phong Chau bridge.
To promptly overcome the consequences of Typhoon Yagi and speed up the completion of the new Phong Chau Bridge investment project, the Ministry of Transport (MOT) and the People's Committee of Phu Tho province have urgently coordinated to study the project's investment plan; the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) and the Ministry of Finance have coordinated to study the capital source plan to arrange for the project.
Faced with the requirements of project progress and quality, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, the Ministries of Transport, Planning and Investment, Finance, Construction, Justice and Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee all agreed that the Ministry of Transport as the project's managing agency is feasible and most suitable, demonstrating the timely attention of the Central Government to the locality.
To implement the project investment in the fastest time, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government requested the Ministry of Transport to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committee of Phu Tho province and relevant agencies: Apply current mechanisms on management of investment in construction of emergency construction works to carry out the steps of surveying, designing and constructing the project, ensuring the fastest progress.
In December 2024, complete the survey, design, approval of the investment project and start construction; before the 2025 storm season, complete the bridge foundation volume (before April 2025); complete the remaining work to put the project into operation in 2025.
The Ministry of Transport has promoted the spirit of implementing the construction of the 500KV line project, section 3, Quang Trach - Pho Noi in the past time to direct the implementation of construction with the spirit of "3 shifts, 4 shifts", "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain, not losing to storms", "eating and sleeping urgently", "working during the day when there is not enough time, working at night", "only discussing work, not discussing back".
Develop detailed progress critical path to complete the project to ensure quality requirements, avoiding waste and negativity.
The Ministry of Planning and Investment coordinates with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Transport to arrange the 2024 central budget reserve capital for the project according to its authority and legal regulations, ensuring the project's progress requirements.
