To attract tourists during the "low season" of tourism, the city has launched many new tourism products to stimulate tourism demand at the end of the year.
Most recently, Vietcharm show - Vietnam brocade, a music and fashion show is one of the new tourism products that will be "launched" on November 1.
Vietcharm show includes the following performances: Sac Viet, Co Doi Thuong Ngan, Mua Ban Bloom, Trang Ngu Binh and Vo Ngua Phuong Nam, taking the audience to explore culture through folk songs, folk dances, and traditional costume performances.
The program is performed by artists and actors of JBY Contemporary Music and Dance Theater on a modern stage, at Bai Chay tourist beach every evening.
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Dat - Director of JBY Ocean Theater Company Limited - said: "This is the time when international tourists come to Ha Long quite a lot. We hope that VietCharm Show will spread the cultural values of Vietnamese people to domestic and foreign audiences, enriching the unique experiences for tourists when coming to Ha Long".
Ha Long also has very detailed plans to organize a number of new, unique, large-scale cultural and tourism festivals and events, focusing on these low tourist months, such as: Ha Long Bay Heritage Day, Flower Festival at Quang La flower paradise (December); Ha Long Spring Flower Festival (December)...
Further, the city will restore and reorganize a number of traditional festivals, such as: New Rice Celebration of the Tay people (Dan Chu commune), Dai Phan Festival of the San Diu ethnic group, Loi Am Pagoda Festival, Cai Lan Temple Festival, Long Tien Pagoda Festival; raise the scale of organization to the city level for Bang Ca Village Festival and King Le Thai To Temple Festival; build a scientific dossier to propose the ranking of intangible cultural heritage for Duc Ong Tran Quoc Nghien Temple Festival, King Le Thai To Temple Festival.
The city also sets out specific requirements for each unit and locality in implementing and building events. At the same time, it creates conditions and attracts investors to stage and organize film production programs, music, entertainment, live performances, associated with the culture of the sea, islands, and traditional cultures of ethnic groups in the area.
Ms. Phan Thi Hai Huong - Head of the Propaganda Department of Ha Long City Party Committee - said: "From now until the end of 2024, Ha Long City will organize 15 cultural and sports events. In the immediate future, on November 8-10, Ha Long City People's Committee will coordinate to organize the Ha Long Pickleball Challenger Sports Tournament - VVP Tour 2024. This is a large-scale tournament with about 300 athletes participating, competing in 20 events and 5 competition formats. Next is the Miss Vietnam Student 2024 Final; Vietnam - Korea Grand Music Festival, Heritage Marathon Sports Tournament; Countdown Art Program to welcome the New Year 2025. Hopefully, it will bring visitors quality, unique products of the city on the edge of heritage".
