On the afternoon of April 24, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave its opinion on the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Enterprises.
Presenting the report, Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang said that the amended and supplemented regulations in the draft Law on Enterprises comply with the principles of ensuring freedom of business, reforming administrative procedures, improving the investment and business environment and enhancing the effectiveness of state management for enterprises.
To meet international commitments on money laundering prevention and control according to the National Action Plan on money laundering prevention and control for the period 2021-2025, the draft Law amends and supplements 24 contents on providing, storing and sharing information related to owners to benefit businesses.
New adjustments and supplements to this content do not create administrative procedures, minimizing compliance costs for businesses.

Discussed at the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of the National Assembly Le Thi Nga asked the drafting agency to continue reviewing and ensuring the unity and synchronization between the Law on Money Laundry Prevention and Business Law and the legal terms of the legal term "owners of benefits"; Reviewing the law projects are simultaneously submitting to the National Assembly at the 9th session, ensuring the unity of the draft law with the legal system.
Also at the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man asked the agency to edit the drafting of the spirit of the Resolution of the 11th Conference of the XIII Central Executive Committee, making the private enterprise become the most important driving force of the economy.
The National Assembly Chairman pointed out that the amendment of the Enterprise Law this time is in the spirit of creating maximum favorable conditions for the development of enterprises, continuing to cut and simplify administrative procedures, and cutting compliance costs for enterprises.
"The design is reasonable, does not put more pressure on the operation of the business. At the same time, in the right spirit of renewing the thinking of law, the issues of the National Assembly submit to the National Assembly still issues under the Government's authority," - the Chairman of the National Assembly said and required to minimize the regular level of regular amendment and supplementation of the law.
