Delegates affirmed that the National Assembly has marked a great step forward in legislative work, ensuring simplification and strengthening decentralization and delegation of power.

Innovation in thinking, viewpoints, and law-making processes is one of the key and urgent requirements and tasks in the coming time to create stronger breakthroughs in development institutions, remove bottlenecks, mobilize and unblock all resources to bring the country to steady development.

With a positive spirit and high responsibility, the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly has completed all the contents and programs set out with high results. This is considered a session with many innovations in the program, content, management, publicity, democracy, and promotion of collective intelligence.

National Assembly Delegate Nguyen Thi Thu Ha (Quang Ninh Delegation) said that the notable highlight of this Session was the legislative work. The National Assembly passed 18 Laws, 4 Resolutions on legal norms and gave initial opinions on 10 other draft laws.

In which, legislative work must both ensure the requirements of state management and encourage creativity, unleash all resources for development; legal provisions must be stable and have long-term value; promote decentralization and delegation of power; thoroughly cut down and simplify administrative procedures.

Delegate Trinh Thi Tu Anh (Lam Dong Delegation) also emphasized that the 8th Session is a session of special importance, marking great strides in the legislative and supervisory work of the National Assembly.

The delegates found that this Session had the following notable highlights:

Firstly, the large amount of work: The session reviewed and passed 18 important Laws and 21 Resolutions, relating to many areas of social life, from economy, society to national defense and security.

This shows the National Assembly's constant efforts in perfecting the legal system, meeting practical requirements and aspirations of voters and people.

Secondly, urgency and innovation: Many issues are discussed and decided at the meeting are urgent, requiring quick and effective resolution.

At the same time, we have also witnessed many innovations in working methods, with the widespread application of information technology, facilitating the exchange of information and participation of National Assembly deputies.

Third, democracy and openness: The meeting took place in a democratic, open, responsible, and intellectual atmosphere, with delegates being able to speak frankly and contribute constructive ideas. This demonstrates respect for the majority's opinions and listening to the minority's opinions.

Fourth, focus on solving pressing social problems: Many issues that people are concerned about such as the quality of education, healthcare, environment, social security... are carefully considered by the National Assembly and specific solutions are proposed.

According to the Lam Dong delegation, to further improve its work, the National Assembly needs to continue to innovate, improve working efficiency, and increase interaction with voters and the people. At the same time, it needs to strengthen social consultation work, expand channels for receiving people's opinions, especially through modern media.

Along with that, improve the capacity of the staff doing legislative work such as organizing training courses to improve knowledge and skills for staff, helping them complete law projects in the best way.

Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of the law. After the law is promulgated, there needs to be a mechanism to evaluate the effectiveness of the law's implementation in order to promptly amend and supplement it to suit reality.
