The two sides acknowledged the positive results of bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy - trade, energy - oil and gas, national defense - security.

The two sides agreed that this event took place in the context of the two countries celebrating many major milestones, contributing to strengthening political trust and opening up new directions in bilateral cooperation.
President Luong Cuong emphasized that strengthening and developing relations with Russia is always a top strategic priority in Vietnam's foreign policy, and suggested that the Chairman of the Russian State Duma and the National Assembly of Vietnam support and promote the implementation of agreements reached between the two countries' senior leaders, urge and create a favorable legal framework to bring Vietnam - Russia relations to new heights, substantially and effectively in all fields.

In order to strive to increase bilateral turnover to 15 billion USD, the two leaders agreed to continue to seek solutions to further open up markets for each other's goods; effectively take advantage of the Vietnam - Europe Free Trade Agreement; at the same time, promote cooperation in the field of energy - oil and gas and create favorable conditions for oil and gas groups of the two countries to cooperate in the perimeter of Vietnam and on Russian territory.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his gratitude and suggested that the Russian side continue to create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to live, work and study in Russia.
