876 cadres and civil servants in Hanoi resigned when reorganizing commune-level administrative units
On June 12, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh chaired a meeting with the Working Group to direct and guide the work of arranging commune-level administrative units in Hanoi.
Regarding the plan to arrange cadres, Director of the Department of Home Affairs Tran Dinh Canh said that after reviewing, the city currently has 9,536 cadres and civil servants arranged for 126 communes and wards. Of which, 876 people have applied for retirement according to Decree 178/2024/ND-CP, the city has resolved the regime for 300 people.
Currently, districts, towns and cities still have 253 cadres and civil servants who have not been arranged for positions. The Department of Home Affairs will work with the City Party Committee's Organization Committee to arrange them appropriately.
Nearly 1,200 commune and district-level cadres in Hai Duong submit early retirement applications
According to the preliminary summary as of June 11, the Organizing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Department of Home Affairs of Hai Duong have received nearly 1,200 applications for early retirement and termination of employment to implement policies and regimes according to Decree No. 178 and Decree No. 67/2025/ND-CP.
These are cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers at Party, government, Vietnam Fatherland Front agencies, and socio-political organizations at district and commune levels in Hai Duong.
298 cases in Bac Giang apply for early retirement
According to the Department of Home Affairs of Bac Giang province, from January 1, 2025 to June 11, 2025, in Bac Giang province, there are 298 cases of a total of approved early retirement cadre records under Decree No. 178 and Decree No. 67 of the Government, with the total estimated support budget being more than 298 billion VND.
The total number of cases that have received money according to Decree No. 178 of the Government is 119, with the amount of money paid being more than 112 billion VND; of which, 92 cases have retired early (nearly 88 billion VND has been paid); 27 cases have quit their jobs (more than 24 billion VND has been paid).
Nearly 500 cadres and civil servants in Dak Nong ask for early retirement
According to statistics from the Dak Nong Department of Home Affairs, up to now, this locality has nearly 500 cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers who have applied for early retirement and resignation according to Decree 178 and Decree 67.
To have a source of funding to implement the regimes and policies, the Provincial People's Committee has sent a document to the Ministry of Finance requesting additional funding.
The province requires departments, branches, sectors and units to urgently review comprehensively, focus on leadership and direction to completely handle the remaining tasks under their assigned authority, to be completed before June 30.
3 Department Directors in Quang Binh ask to retire before merging provinces
In Quang Binh province, many senior officials have applied for early retirement, in order to create favorable conditions for the work of restructuring the apparatus, especially in the context of preparing to merge and consolidate Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces.
During this period, in Quang Binh, there were 2 members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee; 7 cadres who are heads of provincial departments, branches, and unions; 11 cadres who are deputy heads of provincial departments, branches, and sectors and deputy secretaries of district-level Party committees.
Among the officials applying for early retirement are Mr. Nguyen Tran Quang - Director of the Department of Science and Technology; Mr. Tran The Vuong - Director of the Department of Home Affairs; Mr. Duong Thanh Binh - Director of the Department of Health and many other important positions.
