On the morning of November 13, at the 24th session (special session) of the 10th term An Giang Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026, Mr. Ngo Cong Thuc - Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Transport - was elected Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Mr. Ngo Cong Thuc, 53 years old, from Da Phuoc commune, An Phu district (An Giang province), has professional qualifications as Bridge and Road Engineer, Master of Construction Engineering.
Before being elected Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Thuc held many positions at the Department of Transport, then Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of An Phu district. In October 2023, he was transferred and appointed as Director of the Department of Transport of An Giang province.
Also at this session, the delegates of the An Giang Provincial People's Council considered dismissing the position of Member of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Cao Thanh Son - former Director of the Department of Justice who retired under the regime and elected Mr. Trinh Tuan Ngoc - Director of the Department of Justice as a member of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee for the 10th term, 2021-2026 term. At the same time, elected Mr. Tran Ngoc Bau - delegate of the Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Culture - Social Committee of the An Giang Provincial People's Council.
