On the afternoon of September 30, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc presented the decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Vo Hoang Ngan, member of the City Party Committee, Director of the Department of Construction, to hold the position of Director of the Department of Planning and Architecture of Ho Chi Minh City. The term of office is 5 years.
The Department of Planning and Architecture of Ho Chi Minh City has just been re-established by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council on the basis of transferring some functions and tasks from the Department of Construction of Ho Chi Minh City and will officially come into operation from October 1.
Mr. Vo Hoang Ngan, 47 years old, from Binh Duong, has a degree in construction engineering and a high level of political theory. He has worked for many years in Binh Duong province, holding many important positions such as Vice Chairman of Thu Dau Mot City People's Committee, Deputy Director and then Director of the Department of Construction, Deputy Head of the Organization Department of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee.
When Ho Chi Minh City merged with Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau from July 1, Mr. Ngan was appointed as Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction. After three months in this position, Mr. Ngan continued to be assigned a new task at the newly re-established Department of Planning and Architecture.
Along with Mr. Vo Hoang Ngan as director, the Department of Planning and Architecture of Ho Chi Minh City currently has 4 deputy directors including: Mr. Truong Trung Kien, Mr. Pham Van Tuan, Ms. Duong Thao Hien and Mr. Huynh Pham Tuan Anh.
