Ha Long proposes not to organize People's Councils at commune level

Quang Ninh - The Executive Committee of the Ha Long City Party Committee, term XXV, discussed and agreed not to organize People's Councils (PCs) at commune-level administrative units.

This decision is consistent with the reform orientation, streamlining the organization of local government apparatus, improving effectiveness and efficiency of operations.

On December 30, at the 61st conference of the 25th term Ha Long City Party Executive Committee, 100% of the delegates attending the conference agreed to report to the Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council to request the Ministry of Home Affairs to consider and select this option in the draft Law on Organization of Local Government (amended).

The conference also evaluated the results of the classification of party organizations, party members, and emulation and rewards of organizations and individuals in 2024. In particular, the Ha Long City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee continued to achieve the title of Excellently completing tasks.

People and officials of the city received the Government's Emulation Flag; 1 collective and 2 individuals proposed to receive the Labor Medal and 2 collectives proposed the Government's Emulation Flag; 12 collectives received the Flag for leading the emulation movement of the Province and many collectives and individuals achieved emulation titles at the city level.
