At the second session of the People's Council of Tay Ninh province, term X, 2021-2026, held on the morning of August 7, the Provincial People's Council passed a resolution to remove 2 individuals from their duties as delegates at the request of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council.
Reporting at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Dang Thi Ngoc Mai said that between the two sessions, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council agreed to issue a resolution on the dismissal of Mr. Vo Van Dung and Mr. Nguyen Van Dung from their duties as delegates of the Provincial People's Council. Both delegates have retired and submitted resignation letter.
Mr. Vo Van Dung will retire from January 1, 2025, while Mr. Nguyen Van Dung will retire from June 28, 2025. After considering the wishes and based on current regulations, the Provincial People's Council decided to remove the duties of delegate for the two cases above.
Thus, after adjustment, the total number of delegates of the People's Council of Tay Ninh province, term X, is currently 92 people.
Previously, the first session of the 10th Provincial People's Council was held on July 1 to complete personnel and carry out necessary procedures after the merger of administrative boundaries between the former Tay Ninh province and the former Long An province. The total number of delegates of the Provincial People's Council after the reorganization is 94, including 48 delegates from the former Tay Ninh province and 46 delegates from the former Long An province, divided into 22 working groups in 96 communes and wards.
The first session also announced the list of 16 members of the Provincial People's Committee for the new term, including heads of departments and branches holding positions assigned by the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council.
