This is a grassroots congress chosen by the Standing Committee of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee as a model for the whole province. The event was attended by 250 delegates, representing more than 4,400 party members after the locality was formed from the merger of many administrative units.
At the congress, Mr. Le Cong Dinh - Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Long An Ward said that many key infrastructure projects in the area such as Hung Vuong - National Highway 62 intersection, walking street and inner-city traffic system have been completed early, contributing to changing the urban appearance towards civilization and modernity. At the same time, the fields of culture - society, security and order and the political system all have clear developments.
Speaking at the congress, Tay Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quyet highly appreciated the efforts of Long An ward in the recent period. He suggested that the locality should continue to promote the advantage of central location, promote the implementation of smart urban projects, night-time economy, and develop a green, modern urban space that is adapted to climate change.
The Congress also announced the decision of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on appointing the new Executive Committee of the Long An Ward Party Committee with 27 members, in which Mr. Le Cong Dinh will continue to hold the position of Party Committee Secretary. The Congress agreed on the slogan for action for the coming term: "Solidarity - Intelligence - Breakthrough - Development".
