On January 5, President Luong Cuong signed Decision No. 01/QD-CTN on giving gifts to people with meritorious services to the revolution on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, which includes two gift levels: 600,000 VND and 300,000 VND.
Accordingly, the President decided to give gifts worth 600,000 VND to people with meritorious services to the revolution, including:
Revolutionary activists before January 1, 1945 are receiving monthly preferential allowances; revolutionary activists from January 1, 1945 to the August Uprising of 1945 are receiving monthly preferential allowances; Vietnamese Heroic Mothers are receiving monthly preferential allowances; Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Labor Heroes during the resistance war are receiving monthly preferential allowances; wounded soldiers, people enjoying policies such as wounded soldiers, type B wounded soldiers, sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 81% or more are receiving monthly preferential allowances; resistance war activists infected with toxic chemicals with a body injury rate of 81% or more are receiving monthly preferential allowances; people with meritorious services to the revolution are receiving monthly nurturing allowances.
Relatives of martyrs who are receiving monthly nurturing survivor's allowance; relatives of two or more martyrs who are receiving monthly survivor's allowance are also entitled to a gift of 600,000 VND.
The gift of 300,000 VND is given to wounded soldiers, people enjoying policies such as wounded soldiers, type B wounded soldiers, sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 80% or less who are receiving monthly preferential allowances; wounded soldiers who are enjoying the regime of working capacity loss; people who participated in the resistance war and were infected with toxic chemicals with a body injury rate of 80% or less who are receiving monthly preferential allowances; people who participated in revolution, resistance, national defense, performed international duties and were imprisoned or exiled by the enemy who are receiving monthly preferential allowances; people with meritorious services to the revolution who are receiving monthly preferential allowances.
Representatives of martyrs' relatives, people worshiping martyrs (in case martyrs no longer have relatives) are entitled to a gift amount of 300,000 VND.
The source of funding for giving gifts to people with meritorious services to the revolution on the occasion of the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year is allocated in the 2026 State budget plan.
