On April 12, news from the People's Committee of Hai Phong City, implementing the guidance of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee agreed with the proposal of the Department of Home Affairs on the support of funding for villages and residential groups in the area to organize activities to respond, celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hai Phong (May 13, 1955-13.5.2025) and Hai Phong Flower Festival in 2025.
According to the proposal of the Department of Home Affairs, the total amount of support for 1,752 villages and residential groups in Hai Phong city is 17.52 billion VND. The funding support for villages and residential groups to organize response activities, commemorating the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day is taken from socialized funding sources, aiming to create an exciting atmosphere among all classes of people in the city.
Along with that, the city also spent nearly 7 billion VND to give gifts (in cash) to 1,620 people who are meritorious people, former leaders of the city, doctors, teachers, excellent artists, people and emulation fighters nationwide with a support level of 3 to 5 million VND per person.
For many years, Hai Phong City has celebrated the city's liberation day with the Red P figure Flower Festival, so on this occasion the city has organized fireworks displays at 6 locations in the area. Along with that is a series of more than 100 economic, cultural and sports events, in which the art program on the evening of May 13 will be held at the Political - Administrative Center in Bac Song Cam Urban Area, expected to attract more than 10,000 participants.
