Up to now, more than 180 cadres, civil servants and public employees have voluntarily retired early and quit their jobs when the Ministry of Home Affairs merged with the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.

According to Mr. Vu Dang Minh - Chief of Office and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs, up to now, the Steering Committee for the arrangement of the apparatus when transferring a number of units under the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to the Ministry of Home Affairs has received applications for early retirement and resignation from work from over 180 people. Of which, there are over 60 cadres working at the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and about 120 people working at the Ministry of Home Affairs. The number of early retirement applications, according to Mr. Minh, may increase in the coming time.

Many cadres, civil servants and public employees who have applied for early retirement are holding the positions of heads and deputy heads of units under and directly under the Ministry of Home Affairs such as: Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel, Director of the Department of Youth Work, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Acting Director of the Department of Salary, Deputy Director of the Department of Administrative Reform...

As the first person from the Ministry of Home Affairs to submit an application for early retirement, Chief of the Ministry of Home Affairs Office Vu Dang Minh shared that this is the time when the organization needs the pioneering and exemplary leadership of cadres and party members.

Therefore, he has written an application for early retirement to create conditions for the organization in the work of arranging and assigning staff and demonstrating his responsibility towards the young generation, creating conditions for the brothers in the planning to have development conditions, not to miss the rhythm.

He shared that in the remaining time, he had to try harder, work with the highest sense of responsibility and self-respect. Currently, the Ministry of Home Affairs has a plan to reorganize the remaining cadres, civil servants and public employees after the merger.

Previously, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan - Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel (Ministry of Home Affairs) - announced that after merging the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs into the Ministry of Home Affairs, it will be reduced from 35 units to 22 units, equivalent to more than 37%.

Of the 22 units after the arrangement, the Ministry of Home Affairs will have 6 general staff blocks, 12 specialized blocks and 4 public service units.

The personnel after the merger include the Minister of Home Affairs, 7 Deputy Ministers of Home Affairs and over 2,000 people from the two ministries.

In addition, according to Mr. Tuan, the civil servants, public employees, and workers of the two ministries with less than 5 years of service are 191 people, of which the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs is 131 people and the Ministry of Home Affairs is 60 people.
