According to the report, in the period of 2021 - 2025, Dong Thap province has 397 projects under the medium-term public investment plan, with a total capital of more than 24,000 billion VND. The total public land area is more than 29,000 hectares, most of which have been granted Land Use Rights Certificates (over 99%), some public land areas have not been used, encroached upon or have not been granted Land Use Rights Certificates.
The reason is that due to the terrain characteristics and continuous formation, alluvial land areas have difficulty with boundaries, affecting the establishment of management records.
At the meeting, members of the Provincial People's Council's Supervisory Delegation proposed that the Provincial People's Committee clarify the reasons for some projects being behind schedule; management of public assets, use of public land, and management of alluvial land; reasons for being behind in site clearance and land allocation to investors in some projects... With the above contents, representatives of the provincial Departments and branches provided clarification and explanation to the Supervisory Delegation.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tri Quang explained and clarified the contents of the groups of issues under supervision. Mr. Quang said that the province will continue to strengthen the direction of sectors in resolving remaining problems, resolutely handling investment projects behind schedule; will work specifically with each locality in managing public assets, public land... to make specific plans to better implement the contents that have been monitored in the coming time.

Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People's Council Phan Van Thang suggested that the Provincial People's Committee continue to focus on directing and specifying each sector in waste prevention and control; strengthening inspection and supervision; having effective solutions to overcome limitations; resolutely handling and determining specific responsibilities in implementing tasks.
In the context of implementing the policy of arranging administrative units, Mr. Thang suggested that the People's Committee update and re- inventory public assets to have a plan for effective exploitation, management and use to avoid waste.
