On October 6, Engineering Team No. 3 (Vietnam Peacekeeping Department) held a ceremony to launch the mission and launch the emulation movement with the theme "Overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain, determined to excellently complete the mission for the 2024 - 2025 term", at Highway base, UNISFA mission (Abyei area).
Implementing the plan to implement the United Nations peacekeeping mission in the Abyei region/UNISFA Mission for the 2024-2025 term of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department, the 3rd Engineer Team has inherited the achievements of the previous Engineer Teams, continued to innovate, made breakthroughs to successfully and comprehensively carry out the tasks assigned by the Mission Commander, ensuring absolute safety of people and equipment; focused on improving the discipline, ethics and professionalism of the "blue beret" force in the process of carrying out the mission.
Lieutenant Colonel Le Hong Giang - Party Committee Secretary, Political Commissar, Chairman of the Emulation and Reward Council of Engineering Team No. 3 - launched the emulation movement with the theme "Overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain, determined to excellently complete the tasks of the 2024 - 2025 term".
In which, the whole unit focused on competing for the 5 best, which are: Highest awareness, responsibility, and determination; Highest completion of political tasks; Strongest solidarity and discipline; Best logistics and technical assurance, and most effective organization of movement and foreign affairs activities.
On this occasion, the representative of the mission at UNISFA, Mr. Ugyen Tenzen - Head of Integrated Engineering Division (IFMT) - presented commemorative medals to a number of individuals with outstanding achievements participating in Engineering Team No. 2.
Mr. Ugyen Tenzen praised, acknowledged and congratulated the achievements of the 2023-2024 term of the 2nd Engineering Team. At the same time, he requested that the 3rd Engineering Team continue to unite with local units, support each other to help the local government and people have a new, more prosperous and happier life, while building a peaceful, stable and developed international community.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, the 3rd Engineer Team organized forces to build roads and rescue in 2 directions from the UNISFA Mission to Banton Bridge and from Banton Bridge through Athony to Km27.
