Talks on strengthening cooperation and development of border areas

On September 23, representatives of the Vietnam - China border protection forces held talks in Jiangcheng District, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province, China.

On the side of the Vietnamese border protection force, there were representatives from the A Pa Chai and Sen Thuong Border Guard Stations (Dien Bien Provincial Border Guard Command). On the side of China, there were representatives from the Kim Binh Area Reunion and Talks Station.

The two sides held regular talks in the third quarter of 2024 in Jiangcheng District, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province, People's Republic of China.

At the working session, the delegations of the two sides held talks, exchanged and evaluated the results achieved in the coordination work on management, protection of territorial sovereignty and national border security of each side.

At the same time, discuss and agree on the direction of border management and protection in the coming time, such as: Regularly hold meetings and organize bilateral patrols on the border.

Continue to handle tasks related to border management and protection in the spirit of initiative, friendship, cooperation and development according to legal documents on the Vietnam-China land border; the Border Cooperation Agreement and common perceptions of high-level border talks between the two countries' armies.

The two sides agreed to strengthen propaganda work for people on both sides of the border to stabilize business, develop the economy, comply with border agreements, and be aware of protecting the border and border markers.

The two sides continue to promote cooperation and exchanges, implement regular talks, enhance cultural and sports exchanges, and constantly enhance and consolidate the spirit of friendship and goodwill between the border protection forces of the two sides.

The fourth quarter talks in 2024 will be held alternately by A Pa Chai and Sen Thuong Border Guard Stations/Dien Bien Provincial Border Guard Command (Vietnam).
