On April 21, the Gia Lai Provincial Journalists Association held the 1st Congress of Delegates, term 2026-2031, summarizing the past term and determining the direction of activities in the new period.
According to the report at the Congress, in the past term, the Gia Lai Provincial Journalists Association has well promoted its role as a political - social - professional organization of the press, maintaining its core position on the ideological - cultural front, making important contributions to stabilizing ideology, creating social consensus and effectively serving the political tasks of the locality.

The whole province currently has 530 members. Professional development is focused on with 25 training classes, attracting more than 1,400 members to participate, thereby improving professional capacity, gradually meeting the requirements of modern and digital journalism.
During the term, there were 937 works participating in the Provincial Press Award, of which 378 works won awards. At the national level, there were 167 works participating in the National Press Award, many works reached the final round. In addition, 268 high-quality press works were supported with a total budget of more than 1 billion VND.

Entering the 2026-2031 term, Gia Lai journalism faces the requirement of comprehensive innovation in the context of rapid digital technology development, strongly fluctuating multi-platform communication and increasing information competition pressure. On that basis, the Provincial Journalists Association identifies the key direction as continuing to innovate content and operating methods in a flexible, modern, and effective direction.
The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Gia Lai Provincial Journalists Association, term I, 2026-2031, consisting of 15 members. Mr. Ho Xuan Anh - Director of Gia Lai Newspaper and Radio, Television - was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association.

The two Vice Chairmen of the Association include Mr. Tran Quoc Anh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association for the 2020-2025 term and Ms. Vu Thi Nga - Deputy Director of Gia Lai Newspaper and Radio, Television.
The Congress also elected 10 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates to attend the 12th Congress of the Vietnam Journalists Association.
