The 18th Vietnam Journalists Association Cup Table Tennis Championship in 2025 has officially closed after days of exciting, dramatic and emotional competition.
The tournament continues to affirm its position as a traditional, meaningful sports playground for journalists across the country, contributing to enhancing exchanges, improving health and strengthening the spirit of solidarity in the press.
This year's tournament brings together a large number of athletes who are members of the Vietnam Journalists Association from central and local press agencies. The players competed in 14 events for both men and women, with many ages and professional qualifications. This creates a competitive atmosphere that is both fierce and friendly, true to the spirit of "healthy to be a good journalist".
During the tournament, the matches brought many exciting plays, exciting and many surprises in chasing the score. Many athletes show serious investment in expertise and techniques that are increasingly improved, reflecting the table tennis training movement in the press world that is developing in both breadth and depth.
Not only a place for competition, the tournament is also an opportunity for journalists in many types of journalism, many regions to meet, exchange professional experiences, enhance solidarity and mutual understanding, contributing to the sustainable value of the tournament through many seasons.
The Organizing Committee highly appreciated the honest and noble competitive spirit of the athletes; at the same time, it acknowledged the careful preparation and responsibility of the participating delegations. The organization work was carried out methodically, ensuring expertise, safety and compliance with regulations, contributing to creating favorable conditions for athletes to maximize their abilities.
At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded 56 sets of medals to the winners of 14 singles, doubles and team events. The worthy awards are recognition for the coaching efforts, serious competitive spirit and passion for sports of the journalists. The athlete delegation of Lao Dong Newspaper won a second prize in the women's doubles regardless of age.
After 18 times of organization, the Vietnam Journalists Association Table Tennis Championship has become a prestigious annual activity, highly anticipated by many members. The success of the 2025 season continues to affirm the enduring vitality of the sports movement in the press, contributing to building the image of dynamic, healthy, brave and responsible journalists to society.
