On the morning of September 8, in Hanoi, the Petition and Supervision Committee held the Third plenary Session to review the Government's Report on citizen reception, handling of administrative complaints and denunciations in 2025.
Reporting on the work of receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations about administration in 2025, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Duong Quoc Huy said that in 2025, 26 1,566 people will come to state administrative agencies to make complaints, denunciations, recommendations, and reflections, a decrease of 28% compared to 2024.
In the work of handling complaints and denunciations, state administrative agencies at all levels have handled 18,108/22,068 complaints and denunciations under their authority, reaching a rate of 82.1%, an increase of 0.6% compared to 2024.
Notably, the Government and the Prime Minister have directed ministries, branches and localities to seriously implement the Resolutions of the National Assembly, Resolutions and Conclusions of the National Assembly Standing Committee on citizen reception, complaint and denunciation settlement.
Timely receive and resolve complaints and denunciations according to authority and in accordance with the law sent by the National Assembly agencies, National Assembly Delegations, and National Assembly Delegates (NADs).
Specifically, 192/375 cases of complaints, denunciations, recommendations and reflections sent by National Assembly deputies, National Assembly Delegations and National Assembly agencies have been reviewed, reaching 51.2%. 183/375 is continuing to be considered and resolved.
Presenting the draft Preliminary Inspection Report, Vice Chairman of the Petition and Supervision Committee Hoang Anh Cong stated that the Government's Report basically fully reflected the results of citizen reception, handling of administrative complaints and denunciations in 2025 of state administrative agencies and of the People's Court, People's Procuracy, and State Audit.
The Government's report also fully updated the implementation of the requirements of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee on supervision related to the field of citizen reception, complaint and denunciation settlement.
The recommendations of the National Assembly Standing Committee in the Monthly People's Petition Work Reports, especially focusing on resolving 226 cases of prolonged and prolonged complaints and denunciations that have exceeded the level to the Central Government in Hanoi under the direction of General Secretary To Lam.
However, the Vice Chairman of the Petition and Supervision Committee said that the Government's Report has not guaranteed the timing of data collection, and there is not enough data of ministries, branches, and People's Committees of provinces and cities that need to be reviewed, explained, and provided by the Government to ensure accuracy and objectivity.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong highly appreciated the work of receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations about administration, which has reduced all three criteria: number of people reduced, number of petitions and letters reduced, number of cases reduced.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly noted that it is necessary to analyze the existence and limitations in handling complaints and denunciations in areas where complaints and denunciations are likely to arise, especially in the fields of land, environment, etc.
Clearly identify responsibilities, where not good work needs to be warned and sanctions; at the same time, forecast the situation of complaints and denunciations in the coming time.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly proposed to continue to strengthen the Party's leadership in receiving citizens and handling complaints, denunciations, recommendations and reflections; the provisions of the Constitution and laws in this field.
Ministries and branches need to continue reviewing inadequate legal regulations, problems and causes of complaints and denunciations in various fields. The Government Inspectorate presides over and advises on coordination, reviewing and amending laws related to citizen reception, complaints, denunciations, etc.
