This reorganization of the apparatus aims to streamline the organization according to the Party's policy, eliminate intermediaries, and not organize district-level police, helping the apparatus operate more effectively.
According to the new plan, each commune-level police station has at least 12 officers according to the model of the Ministry of Public Security. Hue City Police also dissolved 9 district, town and city police; 80 affiliated teams; transferred 27 task groups to provincial and commune police; received 5 task groups from departments and branches. Many leaders and commanders have volunteered to work at facilities or positions with more difficult conditions.
Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh acknowledged the spirit of urgency and responsibility of Hue City Police in implementing the restructuring of the apparatus, contributing to the correct implementation of the Central Government's direction. He emphasized that the upcoming tasks of the Hue City Police force are very heavy, requiring the apparatus to be truly streamlined, efficient, synchronous, meeting the requirements of ensuring security and order (ANTT).
Director of Hue City Police - Colonel Nguyen Thanh Tuan - highly appreciated the contributions of the district-level police force through the periods, and praised the spirit of solidarity and responsibility of the entire force in this arrangement. He requested the units to quickly stabilize the organization and immediately deploy tasks to ensure security and order. The professional departments need to uphold the sense of responsibility, inspect and urge work at the grassroots level, ensure that no vacant areas or missing out on subjects are left.
Commune-level police are also required to carefully study 15 groups of tasks and powers according to Circular No. 10/2025 of the Ministry of Public Security, focusing on innovating activities, becoming a "solid fortress" and "steel shield" in ensuring security and order in the locality.
