On the morning of March 23, the Hung Yen Provincial Election Commission officially announced the results of the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term in the area, recording a well-organized, synchronous election and a very high voter turnout.
According to the Hung Yen Provincial Election Commission, from June 2025 to now, the whole province has issued more than 7,000 documents to thoroughly grasp and guide the implementation of regulations on elections. The Provincial Election Commission was established in accordance with regulations with 37 members, and at the same time organized 4 specialized sub-committees and assisting groups, ensuring clear assignment of people and work. At the grassroots level, 104/104 communes and wards have established Election Committees on schedule, creating a solid foundation for the implementation of tasks.
The whole province has established 6 electoral units for National Assembly deputies to elect 16 deputies; 17 electoral units for Provincial People's Council deputies to elect 85 deputies; and 612 commune-level electoral units to elect 2,247 deputies. Inspection and supervision work has been strengthened with 51 direct inspections at the grassroots level, promptly removing arising difficulties.
Notably, Hung Yen is one of the localities that early organized the trial operation of the entire election process before the official date, thereby drawing practical experience.
On March 15, 2026, the atmosphere of "mountain and river festival" took place sôi nổi throughout the province. At exactly 6:45 am, all 2,451 polling stations simultaneously opened. Immediately after that, voters actively participated in exercising citizen rights. The election process took place seriously, in accordance with the law, ensuring democracy, equality and safety.

At the end of the election day, the whole province had 2,403,393 voters going to vote, reaching a rate of 99.56%. Many localities achieved an absolute rate of 100%, showing the high sense of responsibility and political awareness of the people. The security and order situation was maintained, no complicated incidents arose; favorable weather also contributed to helping voters participate fully.
Regarding the results, voters elected enough 16 National Assembly deputies out of a total of 28 candidates, ensuring the structure according to orientation. The proportion of women reached 43.75%, overgraduate level accounted for more than 81%, reflecting the improved quality of deputies. For the Provincial People's Council, 85 deputies were elected from 138 candidates, with a re-election rate of nearly 47% and overgraduate level accounting for more than 76%.
At the commune level, voters elected 2,244/2,247 delegates, still lacking 3 delegates in 3 communes. The delegate structure generally meets the requirements, in which the proportion of young people, non-Party and people with university and postgraduate degrees accounts for a significant proportion. Notably, no unit has to re-elect or have the results canceled due to violations of the law.
In general, the election in Hung Yen was organized seriously, legally, safely and successfully. Preparation work was carried out thoroughly, many contents were completed earlier than planned; propaganda was promoted, and facilities were fully ensured.
