The above decision was presented to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nha by Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai on the morning of December 2.
According to the decision of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nha was appointed to join the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Binh Chanh District Party Committee, term 2020-2025.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nha was appointed as Secretary of the Binh Chanh District Party Committee, replacing Mr. Tran Van Nam, who was previously assigned to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Government - Party Bloc from October 15.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai highly appreciated Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nha's many years of experience in the field of research and management at state agencies. However, Mr. Nha has never worked at the local level, this will be an important experience to help him better understand the reality at the grassroots level.
"We expect Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nha to utilize his experience and thinking as an expert and scientist to lead Binh Chanh to effectively solve complex problems, creating a driving force for sustainable development for the locality," Mr. Hai emphasized.
Binh Chanh District, with its large population and large area, is an important southern gateway to Ho Chi Minh City. However, this locality is facing many difficult problems such as environmental pollution and rapid urbanization, putting great pressure on the infrastructure system.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee hopes that Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nha will soon grasp the local situation, closely approach practical issues to propose practical solutions.
Also at the ceremony, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee appointed Mr. Truong Tuan Anh - General Director of Ho Chi Minh City State Financial Investment Company (HFIC) to join the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the HFIC Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
