On the morning of October 1, the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee solemnly opened the 1st Congress of Delegates, term 2025 - 2030. Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission - attended and directed the Congress.
The Congress was attended by members of the Party Central Committee, former members of the Party Central Committee; Heroic Vietnamese Mothers; Heroes of the People's Armed Forces; members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee from different periods.
The 1st Congress of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, has a total of 450 official delegates, of which 52 congress members, 398 comrades were appointed from Party Committees under the Provincial Party Committee, representing more than 120,676 Party members in the whole province.
The 1st Congress of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, is a historic milestone, marking a new beginning for the province, and the whole country entering a new era of development. With the motto of action: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", the Congress is an important event, crystallizing good traditional cultural values, the spirit of solidarity, inheriting valuable achievements that generations of cadres, party members and people of the province have worked hard to nurture.
The draft Political Report sets out 14 targets, including: economic (4 targets); cultural - social (5 targets); environmental (3 targets); Party building (2 targets). At the same time, identify 5 key tasks and 5 strategic breakthroughs.
The solemn session of the 1st Dong Thap Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, held the following contents: Presenting the opening speech of the Congress; Presenting a summary of the draft Political Report of the Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025 to the Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030; Presenting a summary of the draft Report on reviewing the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, term 2020 - 2025; Reporting a summary of discussion opinions, contributing to the draft Documents to the 14th National Party Congress.
Along with that, the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, term I, 2025 - 2030, launched the Congress; Speech directing the Congress of representatives of the Politburo and the Central Party Secretariat; Speech of the Provincial Party Committee Secretary for the 2025 - 2030 term; The Presidium received the opinions of the Congress representatives of the Politburo and the Central Party Secretariat.
At the Congress, personnel decisions will be announced based on Directive No. 45-CT/TW dated April 14, 2025 of the Politburo and regulations and instructions of the Central Government. Human resources are prepared closely, democratically, fairly, objectively, and in accordance with procedures, ensuring inheritance, continuous innovation and development, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period.
Yesterday (September 30), the Congress held a preliminary session and an official session. The Congress of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee acknowledged a series of solutions from 10 discussion groups.
