At the end of the working session on the afternoon of September 30, the Dong Thap Provincial Party Congress recorded a series of feasible solutions from 10 discussion groups. Delegates highly agreed with the Draft of Congress Documents, expressing their excitement when the Congress documents clearly stated many major goals and orientations, with specific solutions to exploit the potential and advantages to develop Dong Thap.
Accordingly, the delegate of discussion group No. 1 suggested that in urban development, it is necessary to pay attention to developing urban infrastructure in My Tho neighborhood such as Dao Thanh ward and My Phong ward to be worthy of being the administrative - political center of the province; reserve appropriate resources to invest in some connecting traffic routes and axes in the area.

In discussion group No. 2, delegates suggested that in the coming time, the province should pay attention to the corridor connecting Dong Thap Muoi, upgrading traffic routes, developing the border economy; implementing freshwater reservoirs to minimize the impact of drought and salinity; paying attention to developing agricultural varieties, especially quality varieties, economic value; upgrading the Hong Ngu Regional General Hospital, meeting the needs of medical examination and treatment for people...
For discussion groups No. 4 and No. 8, opinions focused on creating on-site jobs, supporting the economic development of households and cooperatives; vocational training associated with market demand; supporting poor and near-poor households to access preferential capital; building sustainable poverty reduction models; having housing support policies for households without residential land.
Many delegates proposed that the province continue to pay attention to investing in upgrading grassroots health care, improving the quality of the health team and having policies to attract high-quality medical human resources to work in the locality.
In the agricultural sector, delegates proposed to supplement the planning of processing plants and cold storage facilities for agricultural product preservation and consumption; solutions for handling agricultural by-products, especially in areas specializing in large-scale fruit tree cultivation. For tourism, it is necessary to propose breakthrough solutions in infrastructure investment, digital transformation, and more effective destination promotion and management.
Most groups have recorded opinions and proposed solutions to focus on investing in regional transport infrastructure, creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development. In addition, delegates also discussed many issues related to agricultural economic development, marine economy, trade, services, etc. In which, it was emphasized that the province needs to have orientations and policies to promote marine economic development, especially marine tourism.
The representatives of the discussion groups said that the opinions discussed and commented will be fully compiled and reported to the Congress Presidium.
