On August 6, at the National Assembly House, Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, and Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, chaired the meeting between the National Assembly leaders and the National Assembly's agencies, the agencies of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on the main results of the work in July, and proposed some key tasks for August 2024.
In his opening speech, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh emphasized that this is the first meeting to innovate the exchange of views in a practical, regular, synchronized, and effective manner at the agencies and units.
The purpose of the meeting is to grasp the situation, the results of the implementation of tasks, and to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles in the implementation of tasks.
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh stressed that the Chairman of the National Assembly, the Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly highly appreciated and evaluated the sense of responsibility, initiative, and active coordination of the National Assembly's agencies, the General Secretary of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Office, and the agencies under the Standing Committee of the National Assembly in proactively, actively, and intensively completing a large volume of work of the National Assembly, including many emerging tasks with increasingly complex and difficult characteristics, requiring more comprehensive, timely, and professional implementation.
According to Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh, 2024 is a pivotal year, with great significance for the implementation of the goals and targets of the entire tenure. At the same time, it is the time to start implementing the preparatory work for the Party Congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Party Congress, and preparing for the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th tenure and People's Council deputies of the 2026-2031 tenure.
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh requested that the General Secretary of the National Assembly closely coordinate with the agencies, closely follow the progress of preparation, proactively work with relevant ministries and sectors on the contents proposed by the Government to be added to the Program of the 8th Session, study and advise the Standing Committee of the National Assembly to build a draft program for the 8th Session, scientific, rigorous, feasible, and coordinate with the Office of Deputies to closely follow the guidance, requirements of the Central Committee, the Politburo to advise appropriately for the National Assembly Party Committee.
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh required the Council for Ethnic Affairs of the National Assembly, the Committees to urgently study, explain, receive, revise 11 draft laws to be passed at the 8th Session, prepare for the National Assembly to give its first opinions on 13 draft laws and other draft laws, draft resolutions to be added to the 2024 Law and Ordinance Building Program (if any)...
At the same time, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh also assigned the Standing Committee for External Relations to continue to chair and coordinate with relevant agencies to implement the 2024 external activities program, especially to prepare thoroughly and effectively the overseas working programs of the Chairman of the National Assembly, the Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly to ensure the implementation of the Party's and State's foreign policy and the Resolution No. 272 dated January 21, 2015 of the Politburo.
