On the morning of April 2nd, at April 2nd Square (Nha Trang ward), the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province organized the April Flag Raising Ceremony and offered incense and flowers on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the province's liberation (April 4, 1975 - April 4, 2026) and the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026).

The ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere with the ritual of carrying the National Flag, raising the flag and saluting the sacred flag. Delegates together sang the National Anthem, expressing national pride and deep gratitude for the sacrifices of previous generations for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
Immediately after the flag-raising ceremony, delegates offered incense and flowers to express gratitude and remember the merits of heroic martyrs who bravely sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and reunification at the Temple of Martyrs of Tram Huong Tower.

51 years ago, in harmony with the offensive atmosphere of the whole country, the army and people of Khanh Hoa coordinated with the main force to liberate the province on April 2, 1975.
Following that, the Phan Rang victory (April 16, 1975) and the liberation of the Truong Sa archipelago on April 29, 1975, made an important contribution to the victory of the General Offensive and Uprising of Spring 1975.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ho Xuan Truong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee emphasized: Today's achievements are exchanged for the blood and bones of many generations.
According to Mr. Truong, from a land suffering much pain after the war, Khanh Hoa today has gradually risen, becoming one of the marine economic, tourism, and service centers of the South Central Coast region.
In particular, the southern Khanh Hoa region has undergone strong transformation when developing renewable energy, becoming a bright spot in wind power and solar power. The whole province currently has dozens of energy projects with large total capacity, making significant contributions to the national power source.
In 2025, the province's economic scale is estimated to reach 209,000 billion VND, budget revenue exceeded the central government's estimate, a sharp increase compared to the previous year. Social security work is focused on with thousands of houses supported for poor households, contributing to improving people's lives.
A notable milestone is that from July 1, 2025, Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan officially merged, opening up a new development space, creating conditions to better exploit potentials and advantages.

The province sets a double-digit economic growth target for the period 2026 - 2030, focusing on removing "bottlenecks" in infrastructure, human resources and backlog projects. The four pillars of growth include: industry, energy, tourism - services and urban - construction.
In the coming time, Khanh Hoa will accelerate the development of Van Phong Economic Zone, expand clean energy projects, and prepare to implement nuclear power projects in the old Ninh Thuan area. When completed, these projects will add thousands of MW of capacity, creating strong development momentum for the locality.
At the same time, the province focuses on developing digital economy, logistics, and high-quality tourism in the direction of green and sustainable growth.

With the foundation achieved and the consensus of the entire political system and people, Khanh Hoa sets a goal to complete the criteria and become a centrally-run city by 2027.
