On August 14, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Party Committee solemnly held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term.
Attending the Congress were Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Cao Thi Hoa An - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Ta Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee.
In addition, there were leaders in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and 300 official delegates, representing 9,668 Party members from 87 affiliated grassroots Party organizations.
Mr. Ta Anh Tuan - Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee - said: "The Congress is an extensive political activity in the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee. This is an opportunity to summarize and evaluate the results achieved. At the same time, discuss and agree to determine the goals, tasks, and implementation solutions of the Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term".
Based on the Political Report submitted to the Congress, the delegates will discuss and approve the Resolution with specific contents, targets, tasks and solutions. This is an important document, a center for the Party Committee to focus on leading and directing the implementation in the next 5 years, Mr. Tuan added.
In the 2020-2025 term, under the leadership of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Party Committee, departments, branches, localities, agencies and units in the province have made efforts to overcome difficulties, achieve and exceed many key economic targets.
The province's economy recovered, maintaining an average growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) of about 6.24%/year - higher than the national average.
Total social investment capital in 5 years is estimated at 302,638 billion VND. GRDP per capita is estimated at 80.13 million VND. Total state budget revenue in the area in 5 years reached 71,686 billion VND.
In particular, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector continues to promote its pivotal role, developing towards high quality, sustainability with an average growth rate of 5.24%/year.
Export turnover increased by an average of 11.2%/year, with key items such as lobster, ocean tuna, coffee beans, pepper, cashews, rubber, etc.
Dak Lak province has a natural area of over 18,000km2, ranking third in the country (after Lam Dong and Gia Lai).
The locality has a border of over 71km and a coastline of 189km, which is the gateway connecting the Central Highlands with the South Central Coast, towards the East Sea. The whole province has a population of over 3.3 million people with 49 ethnic groups living together.
