On June 27, the 13th term of the People's Council of Quang Ngai province, term 2021-2026, held the 36th thematic session - also the last session of the People's Council of Quang Ngai province before merging with Kon Tum province to form the new Quang Ngai province.
At this session, delegates reviewed and voted to pass 14 important resolutions in many fields. Notably, the contents on budget allocation, adjustment of medium-term public investment plans for the period 2021-2025 and 2025 from local budget capital; list of land plots to be bid to select investors; approval of tasks and funding for repairing and upgrading assets and equipment of agencies and units using regular expenditure sources; list of additional works and projects requiring land acquisition in 2025.

At the session, Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van - Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee - emphasized that this is a session of special significance, marking the moment the People's Council of Quang Ngai province completed its mission as an independent provincial elected body. From July 1, the People's Council of the new Quang Ngai province will be consolidated on the basis of merging the two provinces of Quang Ngai and Kon Tum.
The Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee affirmed that the approval of the resolutions at this session will create favorable conditions for the Provincial People's Committee to promptly handle urgent issues, remove obstacles under the authority of the People's Council, and contribute to the orientation of the province's socio-economic development after the merger.
