Kien Giang disciplines Vice Chairman of the district for dishonest declaration of assets
On March 28, the Inspection Committee (IC) of Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee said that at the 32nd session, the unit had reviewed and disciplined Mr. Bui Van Men - Vice Chairman of Giang Thanh District People's Committee with party discipline.
Mr. Bui Van Men has failed to maintain, train, and not well implement the regulations on exemplary responsibility of cadres and party members; violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do, perform the obligation to declare assets, income, and assets that must be declared but are not declared honestly.
Mr. Bui Van Men's shortcomings and violations are serious, causing bad public opinion among cadres, party members and people, reducing the prestige of the Party organization, agencies, units and individuals.
Considering the content, nature, extent and cause of the violation; based on the Politburo's Regulations on disciplinary action against Party organizations and Party members who violate the law, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission decided to discipline Mr. Bui Van Men with a Warning.
Previously, in November 2024, a clip of Mr. Bui Van Men's daughter's engagement ceremony was circulated on social media. In the clip, Mr. Men's wife promised to give her daughter 600 hectares of land worth 90 billion VND.
Many officials in Thanh Hoa were disciplined
In the first quarter of 2025, the functional sector of Thanh Hoa province conducted inspections of 15 district-level units, 29 commune-level units, and 1 public service unit under the Department. Thereby, it was determined that many officials violated.
According to reports from the units, in the first quarter of 2025, 26 cadres, civil servants and public employees of 7 units committed violations and were disciplined.
In which, 1 person was dismissed from his position and 5 people under the Department of Health were reprimanded; 10 people under the People's Committee of Lang Chanh district were reprimanded; 1 person under the People's Committee of Muong Lat district was reprimanded; 1 person was warned from his position, 1 person was dismissed, 1 person was warned under the People's Committee of Tho Xuan district; 1 person was forced to quit his job at the People's Committee of Vinh Loc district; 1 person was reprimanded and 3 people under the People's Committee of Nhu Thanh district were warned.
Violations in compensation for expressway projects, many officials in Ha Tinh are subject to disciplinary action
The Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission has just held its 39th Session to consider disciplining many commune and district officials related to violations in compensation and site clearance for the North-South expressway project, Bai Vot - Ham Nghi section through Thanh Binh Thinh commune, Duc Tho district.
Mr. Vo Ta Hoai - a land official of Thanh Binh Thinh commune and Mr. Hoang Khanh Dien - an expert of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Duc Tho district (now the Department of Agriculture and Environment) were determined to have been irresponsible in implementing the process of determining the origin and owner of land in Quang Tien village, Thanh Binh Thinh commune; advising on the proposal for recovery and compensation for some plots of land in Quang Tien village when they did not meet the conditions.
Ms. Le Thi Hong Tho - a Party member working at the Quang Tien Village Party Cell, Thanh Binh Thinh Commune Party Committee, determined the origin of the land and the land user in violation of regulations; prepared fake records to receive compensation and support in violation of regulations.
Violations of the above individuals have caused very serious consequences, caused bad public opinion, damaged the reputation of the Party organization, state management agencies and individuals, and required disciplinary action.
Regarding this case, a number of other officials were also considered and disciplined, including: Mr. Nguyen Trong Vinh - officer of the Department of Finance - Planning of Duc Tho district; Mr. Thai Son Vinh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Duc Tho town, former Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Duc Tho district.
