Secretariat disciplines and expels from the Party 2 leading officials of Quang Ninh
On May 26, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the Secretariat met to consider the proposal of the Central Inspection Committee on disciplinary action against violating party members.
According to the Secretariat, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council and Mr. Diep Van Chien - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Internal Affairs Committee of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, have declined in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle.
These two leading cadres also violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned responsibilities and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity.
Mr. Thanh and Mr. Chien also violated the regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility of setting an example, causing very serious consequences, public outrage, and very badly affecting the prestige of the Party organization and agencies and units.
Based on the content, nature, severity, consequences, and causes of violations; based on the Party's regulations on disciplinary action against violating party members, the Secretariat decided to impose disciplinary action of expulsion from the Party on Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh and Diep Van Chien.
Director of Hue City Department of Agriculture and Environment disciplined with a warning
On May 25, information from the Hue City Party Committee said that the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee has just decided to impose a disciplinary measure in the form of a warning on Mr. Nguyen Dinh Duc - City Party Committee member, Member of the Executive Committee of the City People's Committee Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hue City, concurrently Chief of the Coordinating Office of the National Target Program for New Rural Development of Hue City.
According to the conclusion of the Hue City Party Committee, during his time as Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment and Chief of the Coordinating Office of the National Target Program for New Rural Development of the city, from November 2021 to December 2023, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Duc was irresponsible, did not properly and fully perform the assigned responsibilities, tasks, and powers.
In which, Mr. Duc did not promptly sign the assignment of tasks to members of the Coordinating Office; relaxed leadership and direction, lacked inspection and supervision in signing contractor selection and contract implementation with Cat Tuong Quan Media Co., Ltd. to build television specialized reports about the new rural program.
According to the Hue City Party Committee, the implementation process has allowed businesses to forge dossiers and documents for acceptance, payment, and embezzlement of money, causing loss to the state budget.
